As the number of ultra-high net worth individuals increases worldwide, the demand for more immersive, authentic and unique experiences for milestone celebrations is also growing.
And these experiences are created by extraordinaire planners who understand the world of the rich and famous and offer them the white glove service. As new destinations emerge globally, planners are leaving no stone unturned to mark a milestone event whether it is an intimate party in a secluded island or a massive celebration at an old heritage castle open for a selected few.
Focusing on this niche segment, the 3rd Annual Planners Xtraordinairè Show (The PX Show) returns this year to once again redefine the world of luxury special events. The 2019 edition will take place in Georgia at Kakheti, the land where luxury is defined by its art, heritage and culture, from October 22 to 24.
To be held at the Radisson Collection Hotel, Tsinandali Estate in Georgia, the venue holds exceptional value with the perfect balance of modernity and authenticity.
Commenting on winning the bid to host the show, Stephan Meyvisch, General Manager of the Radisson Collection Tsinandali, said: “Radisson Collection Hotel is a perfect mixture of uniqueness, unexplored luxurious wildness and now being the “hottest destination” of the region gives us the esteemed opportunity to host the upcoming PX Show. It is a chance for us to showcase Tsinandali Estate and the hotel with its amazing facilities to the world. We are honoured to welcome extraordinaire planners from around the globe to host memorable milestone events.”
“Created by world-renowned designers, the property stands out exceptionally. With a ballroom capacity to host up to 500 guests, the amphitheatre can host up to 1,200 guests to host memorable milestone events. Moreover, the breath-taking views over the Caucasus Mountains promise an unforgettable experience for every guest. We believe in the value of exceptional amenities and luxurious extras,” Meyvisch added.
The by-invitation-only event is exclusive and limited to only 200 A-list celebration specialists from over 40 countries. The annual event is a great opportunity for luxury special event planners to network and engage in one-on-one meetings through appointments with top event suppliers. Due to the exclusive format that includes conferences, one-to-one business meetings and ample networking opportunities, the Planners Xtraordinairé Show is a great driver to get insights into the luxury special events sector.
Last year the event witnessed the true facet of luxury in Lake Como and captured the essence of the business in the lap of luxury.
Renowned luxury wedding planners, high-end celebrity party planners, international special event designers, leading proposal planners, milestone celebration specialists, along with global hotel chains, exotic venues and chateaus, exquisite floral designers, stunning cake designers, spectacular bridal couture designers and the finest creative visual artists will discuss trends and developments in the luxury event space.
An event report, meanwhile, suggested that Russia, China and the UAE are the major markets that are showing significant growth in the luxury sector.
Global wealth increased by $14 trillion for a combined total of $317 trillion during the 12-month period through mid-2018, according to Credit Suisse's Global Wealth Report.
The total number of adults worldwide with a net worth above $50 million, also called ultra-high net worth individuals, rose to 149,890 — an increase of 4 per cent, the report said.
