Spring 2015
Diners across Saudi Arabia’s capital can now experience The Ritz-Carlton, Riyadh’s signature cuisine with the launch of the hotel’s dedicated outside catering services.
The full-scale luxury operation is designed to cater to all kinds of dining occasions from private residence dinners to VIP banquets and official gatherings, staffed by an expert banqueting team, and serviced by two specially commissioned catering trucks and an extensive collection of luxury tableware, chinaware and glassware that allows clients to create a unique event.
The hotel’s executive chef has crafted a suite of menus to suit every taste, and an expert florist is on hand to create personalised floral arrangements to grace the elegant table settings.
The property’s dedicated ladies and gentlemen in the Catering and Conferences Services team are highly experienced in designing and delivering a truly Ritz-Carlton dining experience, from intimate dinners to full-scale banqueting, with no detail too insignificant, according to the hotel.
“It’s very exciting for us to take the legendary Ritz-Carlton service out of the hotel environment and into the local market. We want our guests to enjoy a memorable five-star dining experience knowing that every aspect of the event, from the food through to the service, comes with the Ritz-Carlton guarantee of unrivalled quality – wherever they choose to dine,” says Soliman Baky, Assistant Director, Catering & Conference Services – Outside Catering.
“The exquisite workmanship and intricate detailing within The Ritz-Carlton, Riyadh is matched only by an exceptional level of personal service and meticulous attention to detail. Our dedicated outside catering team offer a wealth of experience to help bring your desires to life. We aim to ensure that your special event is like no other and we make it our priority to take care of the details so that you are free to enjoy a truly memorable day. It is these exacting standards and commitment to seeing your dreams come true that create a spectacular event for you and your guests,” says Adel Al Maboob, General Manager of the hotel.
MEETINGS SERVICE
Meanwhile, the Riyadh property continues to lead the way for the meeting and conferences industry, with trendsetting initiatives that range from dedicated secretaries on call 24/7 to even a ‘digital concierge”.
The hotel is capable of hosting the largest of international summits and social gala events, with more than 5,800 sq m of conference space combined, including two colossal ballrooms in a separate wing that are both identical in size at 1,970 sq m each. They are complemented by two vast auditorium-styled theatres with stepped floors and built-in stages, perfect for press conferences and symposium lectures, and a generous variety of smaller meeting rooms.
Completing the conference area is Aubergine restaurant that caters exclusively for the invited delegates, journalists and accompanying security personnel.
As part of its meetings service, the property offers a dedicated team to assist in the planning and execution of events and occasions, in addition to providing essential services such as secretaries round the clock, the latest audio-visual technologies, as well as fast Internet, and a digital concierge.
The digital concierge service provides guests the ability to organise their stay even more efficiently, and get a variety of services – from floral arrangements and dinner reservations to spa treatments and transport services – before their arrival.
This value-added service ensures that guests enjoy a “productive and comfortable stay at the hotel”.
Guests holding their meetings or events at the property are also invited to join The Ritz-Carlton Rewards programme and automatically receive Elite status and access to the full range of benefits that form this exciting loyalty-focused initiative.
With 10 Elite night credits for every meeting or event – including weddings – guests can accrue valuable points that can then be redeemed in more than 250 ways, including stays at international properties, exchanged for frequent flyer miles with participating airline programmes or as credits towards future events.
The Ritz-Carlton, Riyadh is a majestic and elegant oasis located within 52 acres of luxuriantly landscaped gardens. The luxury hotel’s stately architecture is modelled on traditional palaces and elegant Arabian residences, with ochre facades blending gracefully with the verdant landscape of the gardens.
Native palms, 600-year-old olive trees from Lebanon and water fountains abound on the property, providing an oasis of serenity amidst the city centre.
The palatial hotel, which offers 493 rooms and suites, 5,800 sq m of meeting and event space, and numerous onsite fine dining options, is prominently situated next to the Diplomatic Quarter and adjacent to the King Abdul Aziz Convention Centre, one of the largest of its kind in the region and host to international summits and conferences.
The hotel is located approximately 30 minutes from King Khalid International Airport, and 20 minutes from the city centre and the most prominent shopping centres.
The US-based Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company currently operates 85 hotels in the Americas, Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and the Caribbean. More than 30 hotel and residential projects are under development around the globe.
