With summer well under way, Vacheron Constantin presents two exclusive new Overseas watches clad in a deep shade of blue, one in a simple date and the other in dual time.
These two new timepieces radiate sporting elegance at its finest - appealing to the refined traveller, eager for boundless horizons.
The Overseas collection by Vacheron Constantin represents an invitation to set sail on a fascinating journey, and the two new models feature a deep blue dial bearing luminescent hands and hour-markers serving to ensure optimal readability in all circumstances.
Available in an elegant 42 mm-diameter steel case with a screw-lock crown, the Overseas (simple date) and Overseas Dual Time watches combine technical excellence with a refined, dynamic design.
Both bear the identity codes of Vacheron Constantin’s sporty and technical line launched in 1996: powerful, flowing lines, a bezel inspired by the brand-emblem Maltese Cross and a caseback engraved with the famous Amerigo Vespucci three-mast ship.
The Overseas (simple date) is equipped with calibre 1226 SC, a mechanical self-winding movement powering hours, minutes and central seconds hands, as well an aperture-type date display.
Meanwhile, the Overseas Dual Time is equipped with self-winding calibre 1222 SC which, along with the hours, minutes, central seconds and aperture-type date, also drives a dual-time display with day/night indication as well as a power-reserve indication.
Beating at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations/hour, these timepieces enjoy around 40 hours of power reserve. Their mechanical movements are protected from magnetic fields by a soft iron case integrated within the case itself, and are water-resistant to 15 bar (approximately 150 m).
The Overseas (simple date) and Overseas Dual Time models are issued in respective limited editions of 350 and 300 and delivered with two dark blue straps matching the dial: one in vulcanised rubber and the other in alligator leather.
The limited edition Overseas timepiece in ultramarine blue is a must-have for refined aesthetes who regularly traverse continents while juggling multiple time zones, the Swiss watch manufacture says.
