Jaeger-LeCoultre, luxury Swiss watchmaker, will bring the essence of Swiss manufacturing in the Vallée de Joux region to the contemporary setting of the Villaggio Mall in Doha, Qatar, from tomorrow (November 26).
The Jaeger-LeCoultre Fine Watchmaking Exhibition will run till December 5 and feature handcrafted timepieces presenting novelties, including the new Geophysic collection, the iconic Atmos, the Master Ultra Thin and Reverso collections.
It will offer educational and inspiring insight into the realm of haute horology. It will also provide visitors with the opportunity to become immersed within the intricacies of precision watchmaking.
The exhibition will be located in Via Domo, Ground Floor, Villaggio Mall, Doha.
The Vallée de Joux is, along with Neuchâtel, the birthplace of Swiss horology and it is still the home of the most famous Swiss watch factories.
The new Geophysic line features a pure, uncluttered design. "The first glance reveals a clean-cut design that is the epitome of elegance and equilibrium. Each model in the Geophysic line features several layers of meaning. It gradually unleashes a powerful and innovative horological content expressed through classic characteristics. This refined and contemporary creation asserts its masculine nature in a number of subtle ways," says the company.
The collection is named after a watch that belongs both to universal history and to the heritage of the company. In 1958, the International Geophysical Year, Jaeger-LeCoultre created a chronometer for scientists on mission. Capable of withstanding the magnetic fields of the North Pole while losing nothing of its formidable precision, its overriding characteristic was extreme resistance.
The Grande Maison is now choosing to revive this legendary name in two models blending aesthetic elegance, technical sophistication and 21st century user friendliness: the Geophysic True Second and the Geophysic Universal Time.
Established in 1833, Jaeger-LeCoultre has fostered a heritage of invention, creativity and technical skill together under one roof for nearly two centuries, achieving extraordinary horological craftsmanship.
