Graff Diamonds has unveiled a highly unique transformable jewel that epitomises its diamond expertise operating at the very pinnacle of the luxury jewellery industry.
The new creation is set to dazzle visitors at the Baselworld watch and jewellery show, which opens tomorrow in Basel, Switzerland.
Billed as a true work of art, ‘The Fascination’ incorporates 152.96 carats of the very finest white diamonds. At the heart of the piece lies an exquisitely rare, 38.13 carat D flawless pear shape diamond, cut and polished by Graff.
An interchangeable element, this magnificent diamond can be worn as the centrepiece of a highly sculptural bracelet or placed into a bespoke shank and worn as a ring.
Adding further intrigue and in a showcase of design ingenuity, an elegant diamond watch face can be inserted into the bracelet, creating an opulent jewelled timepiece.
Laurence Graff, the Founder and Chairman of Graff Diamonds, played an integral role in the design and creation of The Fascination, which demonstrates the close collaboration between Graff’s London and Swiss ateliers.
“We are inspired by the rarest and most precious diamonds - their influence is evident throughout everything we do. The Fascination is an outstanding piece, carefully crafted so it can be worn in a number of different ways - adding a touch of magic to the jewel,” Graff comments.
“It perfectly encapsulates the ethos of our business, from sourcing the very finest diamonds, uncovering their potential through our cutting and polishing divisions, pushing the boundaries of design, meticulous craftsmanship and attention to detail - resulting in the creation of the most fabulous jewels in the world.”
Graff is involved in every stage of the jewellery making process - from the sourcing of each rough stone, right through to the cutting, polishing and final setting of each exquisite jewel. Throughout its history, Graff is said to have handled more diamonds of notable rarity and beauty than any other jeweller. Today, after more than five decades at the pinnacle of the luxury jewellery industry, Graff says it continues to push the boundaries of ever-greater innovation and excellence.
For those interested, the opulent jeweled watch and ring costs a mere $40 million.
