The 2021 edition of Saudi International Airshow is expected to double in size, with more than 100,000 sq m of surface exhibition space, two new exhibition halls, in addition to the existing hall and a static display.
The second edition of the airshow will be held under the patronage of Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Chairman of the Saudi Space Commission Founder and Chairman of Saudi Aviation Club, from February 16 to 18 in Riyadh.
Despite Covid -19 and several months of slow business, many requests for exhibiting have been received as Saudi International Airshow will be the first airshow of 2021. The world's top aerospace and aviation companies have confirmed their commitment to the airshow, said the organisers.
International pavilions, representing countries such as the US, France, UK, Russia, China, Czech Republic will have dedicated zones at the show.
The airshow will introduce two new areas: Space & Satellite, and Aviation & Aerospace Cyber Security.
Space engineering, spacecraft, satellite, launch vehicle and space-related technologies, will draw attendance from industry leaders, decision-makers, engineers, and buyers to meet manufacturers and the supply chain for civil, military and commercial space.
Another sector that will find space at the show is the UAV and drone segment, which will continue to be a key growth factor in creating next-generation technology.
With enhanced technology, we are improving the way we live our lives and conduct business. Drones have quickly become a very economical solution for business owners. Future technology and innovations will rely on the drone sector as its growth in the industry is of key importance, said a statement.
The Saudi International Airshow is a great opportunity to meet the global drone community and learn about UAV technology solutions.
Saudi International Airshow has become one of the top aviation and aerospace events within the Middle East, as Saudi Arabia is the largest market within the region and offers an excellent opportunity to meet the global aviation and aerospace community, added the organisers.
