Many of the world’s best golfers are set to tee off at the upcoming Omega Dubai Desert Classic at the Emirates Golf Club in Dubai, UAE.
The players include Swiss watchmaker’s own brand ambassadors Rory McIlroy and Sergio Garcia.
The tournament begins on the renowned Majlis Course on February 4 and continues until February 7.
For more than 25 years, this tournament has been a celebration of golfing excellence and Omega is proud to have served as title sponsor since 2010.
Raynald Aeschlimann, Omega Vice President & International Sales Director, and Member of Swatch Group's extended group management board, said: “The Omega Dubai Desert Classic has gained in reputation over recent years and offers players a truly unique experience. This is a beautiful course in a thriving city and I believe it will continue to attract top ranking golfers from around the world. Quite rightfully, it is now known as the ‘Major of the Middle East’.”
Last year, McIlroy won the competition for the second time, taking home the trophy, and the winner’s watch, after claiming a 3 stroke victory. This follows many other famous winners from the world of golf.
Omega’s title sponsorship of leading golf tournaments has been a part of the luxury brand's dedication to upholding the elegance and mastery of the game of golf, while also helping to encourage its global growth and appeal.
The Omega Dubai Desert Classic has been a part of the European Tour since its inception in 1989, and Omega will continue to be the title sponsor until at least 2017.

Along with the championship trophy and a check, the winner of the tournament will be presented with a luxurious Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra 150M Master Co-Axial.
